Nuclear War above the horizon
Iran has just sent its first satelite... welcome to the club of space techos... or not! Iran has nuclear technology and with their space technology they can now make inter-continental nuclear missile. It is clear that if we let Iran do, they will have the atomic bomb very soon and will be able to lauch it anywhere they want. I guess they will first try Israel, who will of course retaliate (using their nuclear weapons in submarines, and others...) and the nuclear war will start... So, it is probably time to stop Iran, before it is too late, especially after all the support Iran has been giving to Hamas. While Europeans are giving support to the Palestinians, Iran is showing support for the Hamas itself. The Hamas is asking for 1 year of cease-fire, so that it will enable them to get more weapon from Iran, possibly even atomic, biologic, ... through their underground tunnel, and then use that on Israel. At the same time Iran has been suporting the Hizballah too ... so watch out for Iran and the middle east, there could be something really bad hapening...

And on another subject, the bailout money is just going to the rich, to make sure they stay rich and don't run out of busines... why don't we just let these big companies collpase? Other companies will replace them, there is enough bailout money for new start-up companies to take their place, so why is that so? It is all about money! All the system is corrupsted! all the way up and we have to hope that the new people in charge are going to make a change, not just talk aboout change...

back with a few words...
I read the Dalai Lama was hospitalized for feeling discomfort in one of his arm. I hope he is doing well, I hope it is not heart-related. May He be blessed! and FREE TIBET!

Turkey has never acknowledged the killing of hundred of thousands of Armenians in World War One, what Amermenians see as a genocide. Turkey has been battling and killing Kurds for dozens of years now, so much that they are not even counting how many they killed. And yet the Turkish Premier had to yelled at Israel President that the only thing they (Israel) know is "to kill people". On the other side in recent years Turkey had many joint military exercises with Israel. So Turkey Prime is really a two-face guy, hypocrite, and is just trying to show off to get support from the Arab world. Didn't they kick out the US military from their territory and didn't they want oust the UN too? Is Turkey shifting toward Irak and Iran into a religious nation, away from the secularity of Ataturk ? That would be really bad. Europe has rejected TUrkey so now TUrkey is turning to the Arab world ... that's very dangerous, to have Turkey become like Irak or Iran... unless the Turkish military takes things in their hands, as they did several times in the recent history of Turkey, those military coups have ousted the Premier to keep Ataturk secularity alive.

It's Groundhog Day, again!
I'm really living the same day over, and over, and over again. And no matter what you do, you are stuck in the same place.

If there is no tomorrow that means there are no consequences, we could do whatever we wanted.

Happy Bill Murray's day to you all.

Another one of these (many) days where I feel "I have come to the end of me" (sic.. Phil Connors in Groundhog Day). The human world is so preoccupied by its ego, by profit, by money, politics, possession, power,... while the whole earth is going to the dogs... The boat is sinking because of us and we just keep on drinking and making it sink a little more. And I'm so down do down today (that's from Neil Young). "She's so fine, she's in my mind... " that was so long ago, some 25 years ago when I was listening to these songs... we were young and innocent, we were optimistic and now I'm nostalgic... keep me searching for the heart of gold... and I'm getting old. Old man look at my life... I am lot like you... These songs are really so old... it is the world that was innocent then... now we all know better but we aint changing ourselves...

Japan has reached 50 percent of its killing whales project
Japan is killing whales and all the governments of the world are silent of course, like they are silent in front of the killing of Tibetans... by chinese soldiers... Eventhough the Dalai Lama has asked that the UN comdemn the killing of Tibetans... none has answered him... So why in the world is anyone going to worry about whale, when people don't even worry obout humans...

What a world!!!! I am definitely pissed off and alienated by all the hapenings in this world, which I cannot called it mine... I don't feel I belong to this planet. It is just so awfull to see how ego-centric all the politicians are, how they worry only about their wallet. Since the medieval time humans have not changed, there is more technology but it is definitely the same shit!

People are so greedy, the more they have, the more they want. Even at work, those bosses who have the position, the power, the money, and they greedily hold onto the last penny and are doing everything to get more, no matter if the employees are just getting nothing. I heard yesterday the son of a friend who commited suicide because he was so pissed off by everything including the people at work who were too stupid, mean and jaleous, ...

This is the awfull world we live in, if we are too sensitive and intelligent we dont have a place here, but that does not mean we have commit suicide, rather the opposite we have to struggle to make this world better, to change what we can change, even if it is only to write an email to the Chinese consulate ...

I hope the sport people will show more guts and more common sens and refuse to play in China for the Olympics... who would have thought that Olympics would be played in a country where dictatorship and military power rule... and country where there is no human right at all... a country that has invaded Tibet and massacre more than million tibetan...

Stop buying anything made in China...

May the prayers of His Holiness the Dalai Lama come true and may Tibet be free again...

last dreams
Last night dreams was stranger than usual. In the dream I was seing (kind of like behind a glass) people under water being carried away by the current, like in a kind of river/street, they look like they were drawning and even one looked at me like for help... Later on another part of a dream was with some religious/spiritual figures that were kind of complaining of me being "shamanist" and that I was better going back to religion or somethinig like that. Then in yet another part of dream a towel levitating by itself to reach an stick to the ceiling and there was a guy freeking out mentioning that it was a divine matter... Well what a messy dream.

I had another water dream weeks ago, where we were going in the streets that were floaded and the water was coming from the sea. I realized later that it just came before this typhoon hit Asia and killed several thousands people. Not sure if there is a link, but that's why I am posting last night dream here,to keep the details and see if there is a link. f

For the rest I have been too busy and too drawn to reality to get back here to the virtual world of LJ. Sorry about that.

Thanks to all of you guys for keeping up with me when I'm not even writing
here for months at a time.

belbolives and simbi zemzem I've added you back, special thanks for adding
me in the first place when I haven't even been writing...

I'm a little off right now, while I'm really here (in the civilized world
on the East Coast), my mind is a little away. Not in the way I would like
it to be, such as meditation, transe, ... but rather my mind is busy thinking
is definitely "elsewhere" than here. I do have too many things keeping my
mind busy, too many worries at times, too many things hapening around and

Since the last time I wrote, my unreasoned love for Nature and animals
in the form of my vegetarianim made me lose a good LJ friend, because I could
not stop criticizing her for trying to eat as many different species of
animals (meat) as she could. I think the civilized world has all it wrong
except maybe for its technology... but all the rest that has to do with
"leasures" and "pleasures" and "money" and "business" and "entertainement"
etc... all that rest (from McDonald to Holywood) is just plain wrong...
there might be some exception to that list, but the princinples are wrong...

Well, as you see, I'm back to complain and get bigger and greener again...
Ouais, pourquoi pas ?

For the rest I'm ok, I'm writing from home where somehow I got a
wireless internet signal from one of the neighbours I think, as I don't
have wireless at home, don't have cables, nothing of that. So I am
not sure where that come from, but my lap top from work somehow gets that
signal, connects to it et voila! Voila, ca arrive tout seul comme ca.

Hope you are all doing all right there.

Listen carefully and you will hear it ...
I do feel that spiritual progress does demand that at some stage we should cease to kill our fellow creatures for the satisfaction of our bodily wants
(Mahatma Gandhi)

The time will come when men will look upon the murder of animals as they look upon the murder of men
(Leonardo da Vinci)

For as long as space endures
And for as long as sentient beings remain,
May I also abide
To relieve the suffering of living beings.
(A prayer by Shantideva that His Holiness The Daila Lama recites every day)

The Earth does not belong to us, we belong to it

So the only thing that Bush could say after that awfull shooting is that one should have the right to have a gun to defend him/herself... well so far I have never heard of people using their gun to defend themselves.. never! I have always heard of those using their gun to massacre others. When has anyone use his/her gun to defend himself? against who? against someone else who has a gun "to defend him/herself" ??? It is time they change their laws here .. these republicans. I know they have many friends in the gun industry, the automotive, the oil companies,... and these are actually the ones who dictate the politics.. which is wrong of course.

Yesterday I watched Bobby, you know that movie about the assassination of Robert Kennedy in 1968. And this is exactly what Bobby was talking about, and this is exactly what happened to him, and his brother, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,... isn't there an end to this? Are people not aware of the reality? Something has been fishy, so fishy... not only then in the 60s but it all came back recently... how come the count of votes went wrong in Florida where the brother of Bush is Governor? to the advantage of Bush? Isn't that so obvious to everyone? And since then everything went downhill... the gas prices are up again, etc...

Well, that's not bad for a start, after being absent here for so long ... maybe I should just ignore the rest of the news and just post about what's hapening with me. What's hapening with me ? Nothing special, I assure you.

help stop the massacre... of seals/baby seal
I know horros are not missing on this planet, with human being the first in line to perpetrate it and human being the first in line to be massacred.. be it the war... or just the normal politics of most of the countries on the face of the earth... I know we can't do too much, vote here, demonstrate there, etc... Here is something for those who cannot speak for themselves the 270,000 seals awaiting te be clubbed to death... If you care, please sign this petition (not this is going to change anything, I 'm afraid - but
at least to show your disgust and revolte against it!)... here is the link:

I have already written to the Canadian PM, in english and french, but it does not matter to him.. he is just a politician and cares just about his own profit... there are other ways for these fishermen to make a living without destroying Nature, believe me, and it is in the hand of the PM to change things to allow these fishermen to nourish their families in a more humane way!

I know I havne't posted in a while, and when I am back I m greener, bigger and more angry than ever!
I better stop here before I explode!

KFC, Chicken Fat and my car...
So yesterday I read in the news that the oil industry which has recently been trying to be more green has been using corn oil to produce some additives that are (as the name indicates) added to gasoline. They call it bio-diesel and the main company I know doing it is BP, though apparently there is now a law which demands that gasoline be implemented with these corn-derived additives.
Now the big shock I had yesterday was to find out that they are adding to the list of bio-diesel products CHICKEN FAT... apparently chicken fat is cheaper than corn oil (19 cents instead of 33 cents per pint or litter ? can't remember), so this smart ass (forgot his name) who has worked on chicken fat is now pushing the chicken industry and the big oil company to sign a deal... the oil companies are going to buy I don't know how many millions of gallons of chicken fat ... This is most disgusting and most shocking.
How much fat do you get from one chicken? 50grams? 100 grams at most ? So how many chicken do you need to put in your car? How many trillions of chicken you need to massacre for that fucking busyness!? I am vegetarian and even thinking about shoes made of skin of dead animals is bothering me. But to have my car running on chicken fat to make KFC and the Oil Companies richer... NEVER! This is outrageous and disturbing... aparenlty chicken fat is also used to make other things such as soap... Gosh this is more than spooky to think that some people are cleaning themselves with a soap bar in which there is chicken fat... what kind of cleaning can that be? A chance I used animal free products! WHen I think of how all the animals who are treated inhumanly in these factories and what comes out of there, it always reminds me of those pictures of the concentration camps in which human body parts were also used to make soap, parchement (human skin),... Since I am a kid I have never understood how can people eat cows, pigs, chicken, even horses... but on the other side they have pets such as dogs, cats, canaris, fish... How can you like your cat and dog and would not want to eat them but are ready to eat a chicken? This is so crazy and this whole world of humans is so crazy. This is again one of these days where I wonder how come I came to be born on this planet... do I belong to here? Since I was a kid and I decided to be vegetarian I have been feeling that there is such a distance between the "others" and myself and not because of me but because how difficult it would be to get a vegetarian meal anywhere I go, how difficult it is to explain over and over again to people who even when they are smart just can't live wihtout meat... What's wrong with this world? eating dead animals? corpses!?

Have a good one!
So it is January 2nd 2007,... so you all have a happy new year 2007!
Even if you don't celebrate that new year - I did not do anything special for the new year - you have a good one!
A good year 2007, with at least one of your wishes come true (I am realistic I don't think you can have all your
wishes come true... ).
That means you have to forget all what happened before and start anew, a blank page with optimism and humour and
hopefully it will get there...

Fu*@#! Damn World of so-called Humans... when is it going to stop?
From Yahoo News:

India has killed 10 million girls in 20 years - Renuka Chowdhury

By Palash Kumar Thu Dec 14, 1:57 PM ET

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Ten million girls have been killed by their parents in India in the past 20 years, either before they were born or immediately after, a government minister said on Thursday, describing it as a "national crisis".

UNICEF report released this week said 7,000 fewer girls are born in the country every day than the global average would suggest, largely because female foetuses are aborted after sex determination tests but also through murder of new borns.

"It's shocking figures and we are in a national crisis if you ask me," Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury told Reuters.

Girls are seen as liabilities by many Indians, especially because of the banned but rampant practice of dowry, where the bride's parents pay cash and goods to the groom's family.

Men are also seen as bread-winners while social prejudices deny women opportunities for education and jobs.

"Today, we have the odd distinction of having lost 10 million girl children in the past 20 years," Chowdhury told a seminar in Delhi University.

"Who has killed these girl children? Their own parents."

In some states, the minister said, newborn girls have been killed by pouring sand or tobacco juice into their nostrils.

"The minute the child is born and she opens her mouth to cry, they put sand into her mouth and her nostrils so she chokes and dies," Chowdhury said, referring to cases in the western desert state of Rajasthan.

I know abortion is definitely a subject of debate here in the US, with people against and people "pro", and it is not sure whether a single human cell (cloning) or an embrio cell are not just the same, while it is sure that a 6 month old "foetus" is actually a full grown up baby capable to live outside the womb... but killing new borns... !?!!? where are we going?

Execution of Fla. inmate takes 34 min.

By RON WORD, Associated Press Writer Thu Dec 14, 4:23 AM ET

STARKE, Fla. - Death penalty opponents criticized the execution of a convicted murderer who took more than half an hour to die and needed a rare second dose of lethal chemicals. Angel Nieves Diaz, 55, convicted of murdering a Miami topless bar manager 27 years ago, appeared to grimace before dying 34 minutes after receiving a double lethal chemical dose Wednesday. "Who came down to Earth and gave you the right to kill somebody?" Otero said, referring to Gov. Jeb Bush

Rare white dolphin declared as extinct

By CHARLES HUTZLER, Associated Press Writer Wed Dec 13, 7:46 PM ET

BEIJING - A rare, nearly blind white dolphin that survived for millions of years is effectively extinct, an international expedition declared Wednesday after ending a fruitless six-week search of its Yangtze River habitat. The baiji would be the first large aquatic mammal driven to extinction since hunting and overfishing killed off the Caribbean monk seal in the 1950s.

Airlines workers sacrifice camel at airport

Wed Dec 13, 9:39 AM ET

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Workers at Turkish Airlines celebrated a job well done by sacrificing a camel at Istanbul airport and their boss has now been suspended. The national flag-carrier said on Wednesday maintenance staff killed the camel at Turkey's busiest airport after sending a batch of aircraft back to the supplier ahead of schedule. Turkish Airlines has suspended the head of plane maintenance pending an investigation, the company said in a statement. Turkish newspapers carried pictures of the camel, two rugs thrown over his hump, ahead of Tuesday's sacrifice. They also showed pictures of the beast chopped up into chunks of meat.

U.N.: Nearly 100,000 flee Iraq monthly

By ALEXANDER G. HIGGINS, Associated Press Writer Fri Nov 3, 12:03 PM ET

GENEVA - Nearly 100,000 Iraqis are fleeing each month to
Syria and Jordan, forcing the
United Nations to set aside its goal of helping refugees return home after the U.S.-led invasion, officials said Friday.

Instead, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees has drawn up plans to deal with the exodus of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who are desperate to escape the violence, chief spokesman Ron Redmond said.

"Much of our work in the three years since the fall of the previous regime was based on the assumption that the domestic situation would stabilize and hundreds of thousands of previously displaced Iraqis would be able to go home," Redmond said. "Now, however, we're seeing more and more displacement linked to the continuing violence."

That makes about 1million a year... probably several millions since the war began and untill it will end .. at least.

U.N. says 2005 set greenhouse gas record

By ELIANE ENGELER, Associated Press Writer 54 minutes ago

GENEVA - Heat-trapping greenhouse gases in the atmosphere reached a record high in 2005 and are still increasing, the U.N. weather agency said Friday.

The measurements coordinated by the
World Meteorological Organization show that the global average concentrations of carbon dioxide, or CO2, and nitrous oxide, or N2O, reached record levels last year and are expected to increase even further this year, said Geir Braathen, a climate specialist at the Geneva-based agency.

"There is no sign that N2O and CO2 are starting to level off," Braathen said at the global body's European headquarters. "It looks like it will just continue like this for the foreseeable future."

The concentration of carbon dioxide rose by about 0.5 percent last year to reach 379.1 parts per million, according to the agency. Nitrous oxide has totaled 319.2 parts per billion, which is 0.19 percent higher than in 2004. Levels of methane, another so-called greenhouse gas, remained stable since last year, Braathen said.

Water vapor is the most common greenhouse gas, followed by CO2, N2O — produced by natural sources as well as fertilizers, tree burning and industry — and methane — produced by wetlands and other natural and human processes. There is 35.4 percent more carbon dioxide since the late 18th century primarily because of human burning for fossil fuels, the WMO statement said.

Scientists say that carbon dioxide and other gases primarily from fossil fuel-burning trap heat in the atmosphere and have warmed the Earth's surface an average 1 degree in the past century.

A report this week by British government warned that global warming would devastate the world economy on the scale of the world wars and the Great Depression if left unchecked.

It said such warming could have effects such as melting glaciers, rising sea levels, declining crop yields, drinking water shortages, higher death tolls from malnutrition and heat stress, and widespread outbreaks of malaria and dengue fever. Developing countries often would be the hardest hit.

The U.N. agency said it also has concluded that "greenhouse gases are some of the major drivers behind global warming and climate change."

Braathen said power plants, automobiles, ships and airplanes using coal, oil or gas were contributing to the rise in carbon dioxide emissions

"The increase in CO2 is linked to the burning of fossil fuels," he said.

WMO said it based its findings on readings from 44 countries that were collected in Japan.

The agency's findings come just ahead of the second meeting of the countries that adhered to the Kyoto Protocol — aimed at capping greenhouse gas emissions and staving off global warming — to be held in Nairobi, Kenya, Nov. 6-17. Under the 1997 Kyoto accord, 35 industrialized nations have committed to reducing emissions by an average 5 percent below 1990 levels by 2012. The United States, the biggest emitter, rejects the agreement.

Braathen said it would take time until the protocol, which has been in effect since last year only, leads to a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and that countries need to do more.

"To really make CO2 level off, we need more drastic measures than are in the Kyoto Protocol today," he said.

On Monday, the U.N. climate treaty secretariat also reported that global greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise, with increased values from 34 industrialized nations between 2000 and 2004. In the United States, source of two-fifths of the industrialized world's greenhouse gases, emissions grew by 1.3 percent in that period, and by almost 16 percent between 1990 and 2004, the U.N. said.
